In 1991 The Ladies Professional Golf Association inaugurated the LPGA Internship Program, providing several intern positions throughout the year to college students. This program has been designed to enable the student interns to develop the skills and knowledge needed to enter the job market.

The LPGA

Dedicated to the worldwide promotion and advancement of women’s golf, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) is a non-profit organization involved in every facet of golf. Founded in 1950, the LPGA is the longest-running, women’s professional sports association. The LPGA maintains a strong focus on charity through: its tournaments; its grassroots junior and women’s programs; its affiliation with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation; and the formation of The LPGA Foundation. Founded in 1959, the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional (T&CP) Membership has earned the reputation as the leader in golf education. The LPGA T&CP Membership provides members with educational seminars and programs that further the LPGA’s commitment to offering leading education for
