Sales & Marketing Manager, JTBC Founders Cup - Ladies Professional Golf Association (Daytona Beach, FL)

The Ladies Professional Golf Association seeks a Sales & Marketing Manager to be based in Phoenix, Arizona for our JTBC Founders Cup tournament.

Founded in 1950, the LPGA is the world’s leading professional golf organization with membership of more than 2,300 representing 30 different countries.

The Sales & Marketing Manager, JTBC Founders Cup Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

  • Develop packages, customize proposals and present to corporate prospects for the JTBC Founders Cup
  • Monitor sales goals and actively work a targeted prospect list, closing sales that will meet the event goals, providing updates on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of a sales committee to assist in introductions and local contacts
  • Responsible for business and sales coordination including management of office activities, volunteer supervision and sales processing.
  • Coordinate special events including Pro-Am Party and other tournament events.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive sponsor fulfillment program to meet the needs and expectations of all event partners.  This includes coordination with some event vendors.
  • Manage any functions in advance to promote the event to sponsors and prospects (ie: outings or meetings)
  • Coordinate event advertising campaign and promotional calendar, working with LPGA creative to see all deadlines are hit.  Work with PR agency to maximize relationships.
  • Direct advertising/sponsorship projects associated with the Event (e.g. pairings guides, tournament magazine, sponsor sales collateral etc.)
  • Create and manage a comprehensive ticketing strategy and fulfillment plan for the event
  • Support sales efforts across LPGA by working with national sales team to identify opportunities for LPGA beyond the JTBC Founders Cup
  • Utilize existing relationships in the local market to sell and build awareness of the LPGA and JTBC Founders Cup.
  • Attend local and regional business mixers and expos to generate new business relationships
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Skill Requirements:

  •  Comprehensive knowledge of sports sponsorship/sales industry.  Experience in golf  a plus
  •  6-8 years of experience as a sales executive with proven results and experience managing revenue budgets of $3M+
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-pace, high-pressure, independent environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
  • College degree with emphasis in Business Administration, Marketing or Sports Administration

 Other Requirements:

  • Office located in Phoenix, AZ
  • Some travel required
