UL International Crown Summer Intern - LPGA (Gurnee, IL)
LPGA is hiring two summer interns for the UL International Crown, located at Chicago's Merit Club in Gurnee, IL. The UL International Crown Summer Interns will report to the Tournament Director of the 2016 UL International Crown. These roles have a strong concentration on communication, data management, and event planning. The summer internship positions offer an hourly rate of minimum wage. This internship is scheduled for May 23 - August 5.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the UL International Crown Tournament Director, Sales Director, Tournament Manager, Tournament Coordinator and Operations Coordinator for smooth day to day operations
Support the UL International Crown staff with various data collection and analysis including but not limited to: travel and hotel logistics, credentials, ticketing, and benefits
Assist with Volunteer Program including updating volunteer website, uniform inventory and distribution, communication with volunteers.
Manage ticket fulfillment process – inventory, shipping, customer service.
Assist with marketing efforts and promotional outreach.
Oversee all social media outlets for the 2016 UL International Crown (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) ensuring up-to-date information regarding ticket sales, event promotions, and announcements
Assist with updating and managing the web content for the 2016 UL International Crown Official Website
Participate in special projects and assignments as requested
General administrative work including updating materials related to Corporate Hospitality, Volunteers, Players, etc.
Currently enrolled in an accredited university; preferred focus in business, communication, marketing, or sports management
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Creative, motivated, proactive, resourceful, deadline-oriented, able to multi-task
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Experience in golf or golf events preferred
Must have own housing and transportation
Medium lifting and labor are required for tournament set-up and break-down
